Let’s democratize philanthropy. Helping people is a universal necessity, and not specific to any one sector of the community.

After reading an article in New York Magazine about the ramifications of the Wall Street debacle, I knew I wanted to get involved and help improve the lives of those affected. Notably, homeless shelters and soup kitchens were filling faster, and the typically large donations from Wall Street were no longer available. Initially, I was not sure how I could contribute. I quickly learned, however, that financial freedom is not a prerequisite for philanthropy. First, I started accepting invitations to fundraisers and connecting with like-minded people. Next, I volunteered and started to gauge the needs of my community. Then I began using social media to reach out and publicize fundraisers and charities, which led to this website. Promoting philanthropy has  become my passion.

I have a background in journalism, sales and marketing, and enough tenacity to bring my visions to fruition.  I look forward to learning from you, and I think philanthropy is sexy.
